Artistic Flare, Act II

This song's actual meaning and purpose has nothing to do with Hamlet, but I like the way that the lyrics relate to the story, especially to Hamlet's character. The minor progression of the music creates the same sort of downtrodden and melancholy feeling that the story has but the percussion and the rhythmic values of the song give it a sense of movement and tension, like it's moving forward towards something. By the end of the song, the lyrics are "Synapse slipping through the hidden door" and the last chord changes from minor to major, resolving whatever inner turmoil there was throughout the song through the action of the lyrics and the shift of the quality of the chord.
